HANDS-ON TRAINING
Move From Theory to Supervised Live-Model Procedures
You’ll build your skills step by step, with plenty of time to practice and get feedback before working on live skin. Along the way, you’ll also learn how to confidently handle consultations, consent, aftercare and healed results.
- Learn skin, safety, color and equipment principles.
- Watch live demonstrations from your instructors.
- Practice mapping and machine movements on latex and artificial skins.
- Receive direct feedback before moving forward.
- Prepare consultation, consent and aftercare documentation.
- Work on live models under supervision after meeting license requirements.

WHAT HAPPENS BEFORE YOUR FIRST LIVE MODEL
Complete Each Step Before Your First Live Model
STEP 1
Choose brows, brows with lips, or standalone lip blush training.
STEP 2
Attend every scheduled training day.
STEP 3
Complete the assigned practice and course requirements.
STEP 4
Receive a Certificate of Completion after meeting attendance and course requirements.
STEP 5
Ask about apprenticeship availability if you plan to pursue Minnesota technician licensure.
Minnesota residents: The Permanent Method asks students to submit their temporary tattoo license application at least 14 days before class. This is the program’s preparation deadline for live-model participation. The Minnesota Department of Health sets its own timeline for reviewing applications.
